Welcome to the Frome Radio Controlled Car Club Website
Although a small club, the racing is still as exciting as anywhere. We welcome any new racers of all ages and abilities.
We mainly race 1/10 electric touring cars. Nowadays we use any cars from Tamiya TT-01s up to Competition Spec touring cars. Also we cater for 1/18th scale off road racing and mini class.

During the winter we race indoors on carpet on a Sunday Afternoon.
- During the summer we race on a floodlit smooth tarmac area on a Friday Night.

We will be going indoors on 28th September 2008, doors open at 1.30pm aim to race at 2.15pm.
The outside championship was really good this year and pretty close for a few people, the results are available on the website. It's a shame so many rounds were rained off, the worst weather the club has seen for years.
We will be still racing Tamiya Mini's inside due to the success last year, really good cheap fun. But there will be no championship for them, as we feel it will take the fun away from them.
Scalextric Nights
For the rainy summer night the club decided to buy a scalextric set and race when it was wet. Now we are racing once a month on a Friday night at the usual time, arrive at 6.30pm and start racing a 7pm. Its cheap good fun, the average scalextric car is ?20. The set was purchased from Jadlam racing in Wells.

Thrashnal Championship
Currently a few members are doing the Thrashnal event at Melksham this year, depending on numbers attending Frome there may not be any racing on these dates.
There needs to be a turn out of 8 to 10 racers at Frome to make racing viable.
